Genelia D'Souza is latest brand ambassador of Margo Soaps

Written by TAN

It's a common adage that 'Bollywood is the place where fate changes every Friday'. The same fact can also be reflected on the ever-changing ad arena. On one hand, where (almost) every single brand is trying to enhance its image by appointing Brand Ambassadors dime a dozen, even the Bollywood actors are also having a field day, under the sun!

In a place where 'replacement' seems to be the key word, comes yet more news which only reinstates the said term. India's most popular (natural) soap Margo, till late, which was endorsed by Rani Mukherjee. She has been replaced by the 'bubbly-cious' Genelia D'Souza. With this endorsement, it will be the ninth brand in the girl's kitty. For starters, the brands that she is endorsing includes the likes of Spinz, Cadbury's Perk, Fanta, Virgin Mobiles, LG Mobiles, Fastrack watches, Dabur hair Oil and Garnier.

To sum up, Genelia seems to be the flavour of every season and every reason!

Jacqueline Fernandez to star in Milap Zaveri's next

Written by TAN

After the fabulous response that she has received for her portrayal of a girl from Venus in Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai (JKSAH) , Jacqueline Fernandez has been receiving numerous offers. But the gorgeous actress of Sri Lankan origin has gone ahead and signed her next film again with Milap Zaveri who directed her in JKSAH. What's more, in all likelihood Jacqueline's co-star in this film is going to be Riteish Deshmukh yet again.

Confirming this news, Milap Zaveri says, "Yes...my next film has Jacqueline playing the main female lead. It's an out and out entertainer that will be produced by Nikhil Advani and Mukesh Talreja of People Tree Films (the makers of JKSAH). I have a 3 film contract with them."

Speaking about casting Jackie once again, Milap says, "Jackie has been receiving tremendous positive feedback after her portrayal of Tara in JKSAH. In fact many people have gone on record and called her the next superstar. So I couldn't think of anyone else but her for this character. She will be seen doing everything from romance to comedy to dance in this film which I promise will be a complete fun film."

As for the male lead, Milap wants his buddy Riteish in the film. "Yes...I definitely want Riteish to be a part of the film. Right now he is too busy with the promotions of Housefull but once he is free after the release, I will narrate him the subject and am pretty confident that he will like it."

The film in question will be a two hero project with Jacqueline being the object of affection of both the leading men. Milap is giving finishing touches to the script and plans to start shooting sometime towards the end of this year depending on the availability of dates of his lead actors.

If the name Alan Edward Bell doesn't ring a 'bell' in your mind, then, let us tell you that, he is the same man who is responsible for the crisp editing of 500 Days Of Summer. And it is going to be this man who will very soon be the talk of the nation (or is that 'globe'?), as he is the man responsible for 'taming the hurricane'. For the uninitiated, we are talking about the climax of Karan Johar's My Name Is Khan wherein the characters get stranded due to a hurricane. Post the release of the film in India; while the story and screenplay were appreciated to the hilt, this was one particular scene that was panned by critics alike. But, for its US release, KJo has let Bell's hands to do the talking (read 'snipping').

Karan Johan candidly admits that he was expecting this scene not to work in the same wavelength as the film's story. He also added that, it was for this reason, that he let Bell to do his job (without any interference from him) since he wanted an outsider's perspective to the story. This has now resulted in the chopping of the hurricane scene in the US version of My Name Is Khan. Bell's work will be visible in the film, which releases on May 7th in the US, and will have its subtitles and voiceovers in English for the audiences there.

On this day, three years ago, there was an entire blitz of media surrounding Bachchan's bungalow in Juhu. The reason? It was on this very same day that Abhishek and Aishwarya tied the knot. Now three years later, the couple with much love intact have decided to disappear off to a location well hidden from the glitzy glare of the media and the prying eyes of public.

Abhishek who has been vociferously tweeting his mind has apparently taken wifey dearest to New York as a celebration for their third anniversary. Confirming this is father dearest, Amitabh's blog post stating, "He is on a rather long flight right now, as we connect, to New York with Aishwarya. And of course I shall tell him all the reactions that came by for the first promo of his film 'Ravana'... !!"

With his film, Ravaan, coming up for release and promos being aired, Abhishek definitely needs a break from his hectic schedule and who better than wife Aishwarya.
